Summary: Apple is reportedly planning an upcoming event on October 13, according to trusted Apple analyst, Mark Gurman. The company is expected to unveil its first smart home hub with a 6-inch square display, alongside a refreshed HomePod mini and a new Apple TV 4K. However, the event hasn’t yet been confirmed by Apple.
Now that the iPhone launch is finally wrapped up, Apple is moving towards the launch of some of its other devices. The Cupertino Giant is now reportedly preparing the second fall event, and this one is all about the HomePod with an attached display, along side HomePod mini and a new Apple TV.
What Apple Could Launch on October 13
In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that Apple is planning to hold an event on Tuesday, October 13. Apple hasn’t sent out invites yet, so the date isn’t official.

The headliner of the event is expected to be an all-new smart home hub. Gurman says it takes design cues from the iMac G4, with a square display of roughly 6 inches. It can sit on a countertop or be mounted on a wall.
Earlier reports suggested that it will recognize household members by face and voice, show personalized info like calendars and messages, and handle video calls and intercom duties.
Apple is also expected to refresh the HomePod mini with a faster chip and new colors, including green and pink. It would be the first update to the HomePod mini since its 2020 debut. Rounding things out is a new Apple TV 4K with a newer chip and support for Apple Intelligence. The current model launched in 2022.
The full-size HomePod, however, isn’t expected to show up. Gurman says Apple still plans to update it eventually. The timing makes sense as Apple just introduced its Siri AI, a more personal and smarter assistant than previous iterations. And all three devices are expected to lean on it.
There’s no word on pricing or India availability yet. The new HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K should likely arrive here too. But the home hub is a bigger question mark. We’ll know more once Apple confirms the event.
