After months of waiting, Nothing has finally started rolling out the stable version of Nothing OS 5.0 to the Phone (3), making it the first Nothing device to receive the update. It is based on Android 17 and was first made available as an open beta back in August.
Nothing OS 5.0 Stable Update Now Available
The brand took it to X to share the launch of Nothing OS 5.0 stable rollout for Nothing Phone (3) devices. The update brings a refreshed design with a new Geist font, a new Lucent theme with translucent widgets, and 2 new lock screen clock styles called Gooey and Micrographics.

There are also new widgets like Collector, Away Time, and Glyph Timer, along with a dedicated Glyph app that groups all Glyph-related features in 1 place. On the AI side, Essential Voice gets faster transcriptions, and the new Essential Apps Builder lets users create simple AI-powered apps without coding.
We have also received the update on our Phone (3), and it is 1.68 GB in size, given our device was already on Nothing OS 5.0 open beta. However, it might differ in file size, if anyone is upgrading from Nothing OS 4.1.
How to Update to Nothing OS 5.0
To check for the update, users can head to Settings > System > System Update on the Phone (3). The rollout may happen in phases, so it could take a few days to reach all units.
