Summary: Vivo has launched the Y600 in China at a starting price of 1,999 yuan, around Rs 28,500. However, its specs, including a 10,000 mAh battery and MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chip, closely mirror the Vivo S2 FE already on sale in India for Rs 38,999.
Vivo has launched the Y600 in China, whose spec sheet reads almost similar to the Vivo S2 FE already available in India. So let’s take a close look at what this new phone packs, and give you a quick rundown of its key specifications, pricing and availability.
Vivo Y600 Key Specifications
The Y600 runs a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,000 nits peak brightness, paired with the same MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, also found on the Vivo S2 FE. It packs an identical 10,000 mAh battery with 44W charging and carries the same IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. It comes with OriginOS 6 on Android 16.

The core camera setup matches too, with a 50 MP main sensor. The Y600 does cut corners on the selfie camera, dropping to 8 MP from the S2 FE’s 32 MP shooter. In return, it adds a 256 GB storage option that the Indian model skips entirely. The Y600 is also slightly lighter at 224 grams weight and supports 27W reverse charging for topping up accessories.
Price and India Availability
In China, the Y600 starts at 1,999 yuan, around Rs 28,500, for the 6 GB + 128 GB model, with an 8 GB + 256 GB option also on offer. That undercuts the Vivo S2 FE’s Indian starting price of Rs 38,999 for the same base configuration, though currency conversion and local taxes make a direct comparison tricky.
It comes in Sapphire Blue, Diamond Gold, and Obsidian Black, a different palette from the S2 FE’s Stellar Green, Zen White, and Titan Black. Given how closely the Y600 mirrors the S2 FE, Vivo is unlikely to launch it separately in India.
So, buyers thinking of getting a phone with similar spec sheet can get the the same hardware can already pick up the S2 FE locally, just under a different name and at a higher price.
